In the pedestrian street of downtown Budapest, at Váci utca 8, in the inner courtyard, there is the patina store where an enthusiastic team works to preserve one of our oldest cultural heritages and to revive the old Hungarian clothing traditions in a fashionable form that can be worn today.
The implementation of our models is preceded by a thorough research and design process. Our aim is to make our clothes faithfully reflect the decorative elements of bygone eras. The bourgeois and gentlemanly costumes are revived with a lot of handwork and embellishments to meet the requirements of the modern age: frills, braids, fringe, polish, dowels are combined with noble materials. Silk, shantung, burette, velvet, brocade, moiré, wool, lace, tulle give the salon's offer a nostalgic yet contemporary feel.
Our company has been operating for 35 years and strives to achieve a high level of quality. Everyone can find in our salon the men's and women's version of bocskai, atilla, mente and socalled "díszmagyar". Ladies preparing for a wedding can also wear the modern-day "díszmagyar" and can rent wedding dresses.
We also have a large selection of men's casual and groom's dresses available for purchase and hire in standard sizes. Custom orders always inspire the creators to innovate and the end result of which enhances the company's reputation. In addition to the traditional tailoring, men's suits, tuxedos and tails also complete the salon's range.
The quality and craftsmanship, the tradition and freshness give the shop an unrivalled atmosphere.
